Winter Park Colorado
"The Journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step." – Lao Tzu
Rocky Mountain adventures not for the timid. Grab on to the locals enthusiasm for adventure and create the experience that goes beyond shops and restaurants. Our quaint unpretentious little town of Winter Park will welcome you with warmth and wide open spaces to explore. Discover our beauty and experience a vacation like no other.
As Mark Twain once said: "Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."
Summer in Winter Park
Our magical location has it all: It all begins with our weather: dry, warm, summer days at 9,000 feet. The Magic: mild day temperatures and cool evenings that will thankfully prompt no need for air conditioning.
Just relaxing on the deck and feeling the cool mountain breeze is enough to let your conscience get the satisfaction of knowing you really did get away from it all this time. If you are looking to re-connect with nature and yourself in doing so, this is the place. At night when the skies are clear, you see more stars than you thought was possible. Look for a shooting star and delight in feeling enchanted when you do see one. That’s what Winter Park is, magic.
We may be a small town, but we enjoy hosting visitors by giving you many options and fun things to do. Grand County offers numerous activities and events and the Winter Park Resort is an attraction full of fun. You can easily create a one-of-a kind photo album from your visit to these majestic Rocky Mountains.
